Hi! I'm Asher!

It's hard to explain what having poor self-esteem is like, but if you have it, you'd know exactly what I'm talking about.

  • It's the constant feeling that things won't ever be better for you.
  • It's the lingering misery of always expecting people to judge, scorn, or make fun of you.
  • It's the automatic hate and pity you get from yourself whenever you fail to do the things you want.
  • It's the exhaustion of always trying to keep yourself as invisible as possible.
  • It's the dread that comes from thinking you have no purpose or direction in life.

There are two reasons you might be languishing in poor self-esteem:

The truth is, self-esteem is the single, most powerful psychological force directing the course of our lives. From the decisions we make, to the opportunities we take, to the relationships we choose to nurture, self-esteem plays a huge part in all of that. Poor self-esteem leads to self-sabotaging life decisions, missed opportunities, and unhealthy relationships.

Telling yourself things that make you feel good won't cut it. Giving yourself participation trophies doesn't help. Seeking out praise and approval from other people is a recipe for disaster. Most people want to improve their self-esteem, but their approaches to doing so are short-term and misguided.

To address poor self-esteem, we have to go deeper than just shallow self-affirmations and insincere praise. You have to critically assess how your thoughts and feelings about yourself affect who you are. In other words, you have to be positively introspective about your self-esteem.

And that's exactly what I teach in

is a 4-week, self-paced program that’s designed to help you overcome feelings of self-hate and improve your self-esteem.

The goals of this program are to help you:

1. Gain a clearer and more positive awareness of yourself.

2. Overcome self-hate and improve your self-esteem through the power of positive introspection.

3. Plan out a long-term strategy that ensures positive change in your self-esteem endures.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

HTBC is divided into four parts, each to be studied per week. The following are descriptions of each part of the program:

Week 1 is focused on understanding the self. A requirement for lasting improvement in self-esteem is an honest and authentic understanding of who we are, a realization of how the world constantly tries to define us, and a reflection on the power that we have to write our definitions of ourselves. In this part of the program, we get a taste of positive introspection and how this can be used as a long-term strategy for self-esteem improvement.

Week 2 is focused on understanding the power that self-esteem has over our lives. In this part of the program, we tackle the ways in which self-esteem, the evaluations we have of ourselves, steers the course of our lives for better or worse. We also attempt to gain a deeper insight into how our self-esteem affects our actions, and how these actions affect our quality of life.

Week 3 is focused on how we express self-esteem towards ourselves, through either self-love or self-hate. We discuss the definitions of each and how they contribute to our overall self-esteem. We also engage in an exercise that will allow you to understand your personal scripts and narratives of self-love and self-hate.

Week 4 is focused on ensuring that lasting positive change in your self-esteem occurs in your life beyond the HTBC program. In this part of the program, we devise a plan to make positive introspection a more consistent part of your life, by finding a “thing” from which you can derive deeper, existential meaning.
